.Seed Treatment Pertaining to the seed science and technology subject, we have conducted group meetings where in, in one of the night meeting (25/08/2022). Dr. Nagaraju, Department of seed science and technology demonstrated the method of seed treatment and and their benefits. We treated ragi seeds with Bavistin (carbenazim 50 %wp), 2-4gm/kg of seeds. It controls ragi blast, smut diseases etc. Later We treated maize seeds with Ridomil MZ,2-4 gm/kg of seeds. It controls sapling rot disease, root and stem diseases etc. We treated red gram seeds with rhizobium,20 gm/kg of seeds. It helps in fixing atmospheric nitrogen to soil.
