A program was conducted in Thippenahalli village on 5th December,2023 as a part of “World soil day”.
Program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp . Later, introduction about this year’s world soil day theme -“ Soil and Water : Source of life “ was given and detailed information about Problematic soils and its management was also given.
Professor Dr . Krishna murthy spoke about importance of soil health maintenance .
Village member T.N Munikrishnappa spoke about our role in gifting healthy soil to our future generations.
Around 32 farmers actively participated in this programme and various queries were raised by the farmers and were addressed by soil scientists.
At the end of the programme prizes were distributed to the government school students who won prizes in various competitions held on account of world soil day.
