Pineapple Leaf Fibre Extractor

Background:
India is one of the major producers of pine apple fruit and its cultivation is mostly spread across different eastern & north eastern states. After harvesting the fruit, green leaves are thrown away which contains valuable natural fibre. The process of extraction of this valuable fibre is of great importance since the quality as well as quantity is strongly influenced by the method of extraction employed.:
Technology Details:
With the present innovation (extractor), fibre can be extracted from the entire length of the green leaves. Moreover, three (03) leaves can be processed at a single pass thus enhancing the production capacity over the existing manual process where, green leaves are repeatedly scrapped over its surface with a broken china plate/sea-shell to remove traces of green matter.

Coagulated Milk (paneer) Sausage and Preparation Method thereof

Background:
Sausages is popular food product found in the market which are usually made up of meat. However, India and other countries having a significant number of vegetarian’s population called “vegan food in European countries, the sausages are made up of non-meat based can cater the needs/demands of the vegetarians. On the other hand, paneer forms an important and rich source of protein for vegetarian population and is widely used in various culinary dishes and consumed as an excellent substitute to meat in Indian cuisine. There was no report for sausage comprising coagulated milk paneer with vegetables as the components are highly perishable, with shorter shelf life. Therefore, the present invention has been developed:
Technology Details:
The present invention involves the method of preparation of Coagulated Milk (Paneer) Sausage comprising of any of the suitably selected vegetables, binder and other ingredients at appropriate ratio. Advantageously the present sausage containing no meat can be an excellent source of protein for vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian consumer worldwide. The said Coagulated Milk (Paneer) Sausage can be applied in food processing industry; more particularly advantageous for those countries having high milk production output:
The institute has filed an Indian Patent application for the innovation i.e. “Coagulated Milk (paneer) Sausage and Preparation Method thereof” (the Patent Application No. 202031042767, Published Patent Office Journal no:14/2021, Dated 02-04-2021).

Method for Preparation of Green Chilli Powder

Background:
Commercially red chilli powder is available in the market as spices. Many persons suffer from gastric problem upon regular usage. Gastric problem can be reduced after the consumption of green chilli powder. Further red chilli powder does not give any nutrion or health benefits to consumers.:
Technology Details:
The present technology of green chilli powder retains 94-96% chlorophyll, 35-38mg/100g vitamin C and contains 0.64-0.66% capsicin content. Also, the powder has consumer acceptability of 8-10 months at ambient storage.

Agrinnovate India facilitates the transfer of ICAR-CTCRI developed technology ‘E-Crop – An IoT Device for Smart Farming’

Publish Date : 07-06-2024

Description : This precision agriculture technology was transferred successfully by signing the Technology Licensing agreement with M/s., Tech Visit IT Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai which was facilitated by Agrinnovate India Limited (AgIn), New Delhi. In his licensing remarks, Dr. Praveen Malik, CEO, AgIn informed that e-crop has a high potential market in the smart farming sector and can help the farmer to reap higher profits, than conventional farming. Dr G. Byju, Director, ICAR-CTCRI has exchanged the Technology License Agreement with officials Shri. Bharat Patni, Director, M/s., Tech Visit IT Pvt. Ltd. While exchanging the TLA, Dr G. Byju told that licensing e-crop – an climate-focused and high-value technology on World Environment Day marks a significant milestone in the history of ICAR-CTCRI. Dr VS Santhosh Mithra, Principal Scientist and inventor of the technology explained the key features of this “farmer-friendly” technology. The licensing process was managed by Institute Technology Management Unit of ICAR-CTCRI through M/S Agrinnovate India Private Limited, New Delhi. About 120 scientists and staff of ICAR-CTCRI and students participate in the function. A famed precision agriculture technology “e-crop” developed by ICAR Central Tuber Crops Research Institute; Thiruvananthapuram has moved into commercial phase today. This IoT technology helps the farmers in managing scare natural resources in a judicial way, through accurate measurement of soil moisture, temperature and nutrient content along with weather parameters such as wind speed, temperature and rainfall. The crop growth models built into this system enables the farmers to get timely advice on irrigating the crop, applying fertilizers based on crop requirements, identification of fertilizer pest and disease incidence along with other field-based advisories. By maximizing the efficiency of agricultural inputs along with reducing wastage, this device provides an “eco-friendly alternative” for regenerative agriculture. Besides its “eco-friendly” nature, this technology also commands significant share in $886.21 million worth market in India.
