On 7th December,2023 a night meeting was conducted in collaboration with Criyagen and BASF companies in Laginayakanahalli as a part of RAWE programme.In this programme,the Criyagen company informed about the use of biofertilisers and the BASF company created awareness on the use of PPE kit in agriculture.
Dr. Nagendra of Criyagen company spoke about the harmful effect of excess use of fertilizers.With excess use of chemical fertilizers,soil fertility and soil health has been declining over the years.In order to avoid this,use of biofertilizers must be encouraged among the farmers.The importance and advantages of application of biofertilizers to the soil was explained in detail to the farmers in his speech.He also informed the farmers about the various biofertilizers available to them from their company.
Dr. Mohan from BASF company gave a talk on the importance of wearing PPE kits while spraying pesticides to the crops.Along with students Sanket and Shravan,he demonstrated the method to wear the PPE kit and advantages of wearing the same.This meeting was attended by most farmers of the village making it successful.
