Fall Army Worm

Spodoptera frugiperda, known as FAW is a invasive pest of Maize and it has devastating effects on the growth and development of Maize.

Control Measures:

Cultural Methods

*Clean Cultivation

*Destruction of the infested plants

Mechanical Methods:

*Destruction of Egg Masses

*Manually collecting Larva and destroying it

Biological Methods :

*Use of Parasitoids like Trichogramma spp.

*Use of Entamopathogenous fungi Beaveria bassiana, Verticilium leacni, etc

Chemical Measures:

*Seed Treatment: Fortenza Duo @ 6ml/kg of seeds

Fortenza Duo = Cyanthaniliprole + Thiametaxom

*Insecticides :

Emamectin Benzoate @ 0.4 gms/lt of water

Spinetorum @ 0.5 gms/lt of water

Nano Fertilizers:
