About our Programme
As per the saying,”ಕೃಷಿತೋ ನಾಸ್ತಿ ದುರ್ಭಿಕ್ಷಂ”, we the students of University of Agricultural Sciences, CoA, Bengaluru(GKVK) are undertaking RAWE Programme in Laginayakanahalli Village for three Months under the guidance of Dr.Yashaswini M.A.,Asst. Professor(Department of Agri Extension).
“If Agriculture goes wrong, nothing else will have a chance to go right“, so primarily this RAWE Programme is helping the students to understand the rural situation in relation to agriculture and allied activities, socio economic condition of farmers and their problems.
The main objectives of RAWE are :
- To provide opportunity to the students to understand the rural situation in relation to agricultureand allied activities.
- To make the students familiar with socio-economic conditions of the farmers and their problems.
- To impart diagnostic and remedial knowledge to the students relevant to real field situationsthrough practical training.
- To develop effective communication skills of students with farmers uasing latest extensionmethodologies in transfer of technology.
- To develop confidence and competence among students to solve complex agricultural problems.
- To acquaint students with on-going extension and rural development programmes
