During the last five decades UAS, Bengaluru has reached millions of farmers thorough effective and innovative extension approaches. Krishimela is one of the flagship annual extension outreach event of the university that brings all the stakeholders of agriculture in single window to abreast latest agricultural technologies and promote their adoption.
In recent times there is a significant increase in the farmers’ literacy level and ICT usage especially among young farmers. For the first of its kind, under the current Covid-19 situation, UAS Bangalore has contemplated to organise the krishimela in digital form through online platforms viz. website, webcasting, video conferencing, virtual consultancy, Virtual tour, and social media like Youtube, Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter and Instagram.
The online platforms are expected to reach millions of farmers and other stakeholders in agricultural development throughout the globe and it is an amazing opportunity for agricultural agencies to publicise your products in the online platforms.
